Educational Approval Board of Wisconsin

The New World School of Violin Making is approved by the Educational Approval Board of Wisconsin.

Any concerns or complaints should be brought to the instructor’s attention immediately. If concerns or complaints are not resolved to a student’s satisfaction, the student may contact the Educational Approval Board of Wisconsin, 30 W Mifflin St, PO Box 8696, Madison, WI 53708-8698; or call 608-226-3705.

Facilities and Equipment

Currently, the school is housed in an addition to the instructor’s house. The shop has over 700 square feet of space. Organization and maintenance of this space is the student’s responsibility and should reflect professional work habits. Each student provides her/his own hand tools. A list of required tools for the first semester will be provided by the school upon enrollment. All other customary tools and equipment for a violin shop are supplied by the school. Wood and accessories are provided for all instruments except the first and final examination instrument that is built in-the-white. A restroom is adjoining the shop. NO smoking is allowed in the school building at any time.

The school does not provide housing. Out-of-town students may request information on area housing and transportation prior to their arrival.
